Northeast Georgia Mustang Club

The Northeast Georgia Mustang Club (NEGMC) is Chartered by the Mustang Club Of America as a regional club covering all or portions of the Georgia Counties: Walton, Banks, Jackson, Barrow, Jasper, Forsyth, Hall, Oconee, Stephens, Franklin, Lumpkin, Madison, Clarke, White, and Habersham.  The club tries to meet each month at different locations throughout the region covered by our charter.  Each fall we held a show in Cherokee, NC which had become a tradition for 33 years.  A few years ago, we moved the show to Maggie Valley because we had outgrown our old site in Cherokee.  The new facility proved to be a good choice as we had 169 cars for our 39th show.  In addition to the Maggie Valley Show, we hold a spring cruise in/car show and a fall Toys for Tots show at Mustangs Unlimited in Lawrenceville, GA.  Our year ends with a Toys for Tots shopping trip and drop off at Jacky Jones Ford in Cleveland. Our club supports the USMC Toys for Tots as our major charity.

A large number of the membership participate in shows and events as a group or just meet up for dinner somewhere.  For the latest info on when we do things as a group like us on Facebook to stay up to date.  Look around and if you are interested in becoming a member contact one of us on the contacts page or download an application at the link on the right side of the page.

Maggie Valley 2014

Well, the 41st Annual Shelby/Mustang & Ford Meet has come and gone, we almost escaped a terrible weather forecast, just getting a shower as the awards ceremony was starting on Saturday.  We had our first rally run on Friday, 7 cars ran it and another 7 followed the rally organizer's chase car, everyone seemed to enjoy it, and we'll try to promote it and up the participation next year.  On Saturday we had 170 registered cars for the show and gave out over 100 trophies.  Several vendors were selling their wares and Blue Ridge BBQ was plating some great food.  On Sunday several of headed out on the Blue Ridge Parkway and into Cherokee before heading home.  Look forward to making the 2015 show bigger and better.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be at 10AM on 8/23/14 at Rick & Cher's house.  This is the final meeting before Maggie Valley and will be used for final planning, goodie bag stuffing, and trailer loading and organizing.  Around 1:30 we will cruise over to Mustangs Unlimited for the show/cruise in there from 3-7PM.

Toys for Tots Show

Our Annual Fall Pony Roundup show at Mustangs Unlimited in Lawrenceville, GA has been scheduled for Saturday 11/8 from 10-4, registration until 12, rain date 11/9.  All show proceeds benefit Toys for Tots, fee 1 new unwrapped toy or $15.  President@negeorgiamustangclub.org or Rick at 678-371-5799 for more info or show flyer.
