Northeast Georgia Mustang Club

The Northeast Georgia Mustang Club (NEGMC) is Chartered by the Mustang Club Of America as a regional club covering all or portions of the Georgia Counties: Walton, Banks, Jackson, Barrow, Jasper, Forsyth, Hall, Occonee, Stephens, Franklin, Lumpkin, Madison, Clarke, White, and Habersham.  The club tries to meet each month at different locations throughout the region covered by our charter.  Each fall we held a show in Cherokee, NC which had become a tradition for 33 years.  A few years ago, we moved the show to Maggie Valley because we had outgrown our old site in Cherokee.  The new facility proved to be a good choice as we had 165 cars for our 38th show.  In addition to the Maggie Valley Show, we hold a spring cruise in/car show and a fall Toys for Tots show at Mustangs Unlimited in Lawrenceville, GA.  Our year ends with a Toys for Tots shopping trip and drop off at Jacky Jones Ford in Cleveland. Our club supports the USMC Toys for Tots as our major charity.

A large number of the membership participate in shows and events as a group or just meet up for dinner somewhere.  For the latest info on when we do things as a group like us on Facebook to stay up to date.  Look around and if you are interested in becoming a member contact one of us on the contacts page or download an application at the link on the right side of the page.

Next Meeting!!!!!

As previously mentioned, our May meeting will be on Sunday May 19th at Shelter 1 at Vogel State Park.  The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, ice, all paper goods, and charcoal.  Everyone is asked to bring their favorite side or dessert.  The shelter has a grill, water, and electric.  We plan to eat at 2:00 so that those attending church have time to make it up to Vogel.  Nick Propes is putting together a pony run route for those that want to participate after we eat.  Please bring any appropriate outdoor adult and children games, so that we have some activities for all before and after lunch.

Some of us will meet at the QuikTrip in Oakwood, I985 & GA53 and leave there at 9AM to go up to Vogel and set up.  If there is interest in another group meeting later, and running up together, let me know and we will put together another meet time.  If we get set up in time, we will probably do a short pony run before lunch.  I understand there is also hiking and other activities in the park for those that want to partake.

Look forward to seeing many of you on the 19th.  We haven't had very good rsvp response for previous meetings/events where we requested rsvp's.  It makes it difficult to plan, in this case quantities of food to buy, etc.  We need RSVP's for this event including number attending by Sunday May 12th.  Thanks for your cooperation on this.

 Spring Pony Round Up

Well the first show of the season of the year is in the books and it was a huge success. We had a "chamber of commerce" day and over 100 cars entered in the show. Thanks to Mustangs Unlimited for providing the location, the club members who came out to support the show, and all that brought their cars out today. A few pictures.
