Northeast Georgia Mustang Club

The Northeast Georgia Mustang Club (NEGMC) is Chartered by the Mustang Club Of America as a regional club covering all or portions of the Georgia Counties: Walton, Banks, Jackson, Barrow, Jasper, Forsyth, Hall, Oconee, Stephens, Franklin, Lumpkin, Madison, Clarke, White, and Habersham.  The club tries to meet each month at different locations throughout the region covered by our charter.  Each fall we held a show in Cherokee, NC which had become a tradition for 33 years.  A few years ago, we moved the show to Maggie Valley because we had outgrown our old site in Cherokee.  The new facility proved to be a good choice as we had 169 cars for our 39th show.  In addition to the Maggie Valley Show, we hold a spring cruise in/car show and a fall Toys for Tots show at Mustangs Unlimited in Lawrenceville, GA.  Our year ends with a Toys for Tots shopping trip and drop off at Jacky Jones Ford in Cleveland. Our club supports the USMC Toys for Tots as our major charity.

A large number of the membership participate in shows and events as a group or just meet up for dinner somewhere.  For the latest info on when we do things as a group like us on Facebook to stay up to date.  Look around and if you are interested in becoming a member contact one of us on the contacts page or download an application at the link on the right side of the page.

Spring Pony Round Up

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped with the show at Mustangs Unlimited Saturday 3/15. Had great weather and good turnout, 111 registered cars, signed up 6 new members and handed out several more membership applications.  See the Club Photo Album for pictures from the show and awards ceremony.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be at the 4/12/14 cruise in at Mustangs Unlimited at 2:00. The cruise in runs from 2-7 and is to welcome the Mustang Passion Club from France to Atlanta (and the US), share some fellowship with them, and show them the hobby in the US. See the flyer in the Show Flyers/Newsletters Tab for additional information or give me a call at 678-371-5799. This cruise in is open to all Ford bodied/powered vehicles, not just to club members, so spread the word.

Maggie Valley 2014

The show dates have been set for Maggie Valley 2014 as September 5th and 6th.  We will have a cruise in on Friday starting at 12:00 with a pony run on the Blue Ridge Parkway planned if the weather is good.  Saturday will be the show date from 8:30-4:00, registration until 12:00.  This is a popular vote show with first - third place awards in around 30 classes at 4:00.  There will be vendors and food on site both days.  Stay tuned to the website for more details as we get closer to the show date.  Also, see the  2013 Maggie Valley tab to see what the show is all about, and the Club Photo Album tab and the Maggie Valley 2013 folder for pictures from last year.

If you are interested in being a vendor at the show, there is a $50 vendor fee for as much space as you need, please contact Rick Hayslip at 678-371-5799 or Nick Propes at 770-280-5709.

If you are interested in being a sponsor for the show, we have two levels available, $100 for your logo on the flyers, awards, and event tshirts, and $500 for a larger logo on all those items and being the named sponser for one of the 3 best of show awards, early mustang, late mustang, and other Ford.  Contact Rick or Nick (numbers above) for more information on event sponsorship.

  Club After Christmas Party

After the holidays, let's get the Mustangs back out and show off the new goodies we got for them at the club after Christmas party. It will be held on Saturday January 18th at Keith and Deb Corkern's home in Braselton from 1-5. If you need directions, I emailed them out. The club will provide meat, bread, fixings for sandwiches, and drinks. Members are asked to bring their favorite side and/or dessert. We will eat first, then hold our meeting, and then have our white elephant gift exchange.

To properly plan the quantity of food to order, we do need rsvp's from those that are planning to attend. Please email me with your rsvp, and the number in your party by Sunday January 5th.
