2019 NE Georgia Mustang Club’s After Christmas Party & January Meeting

On Saturday, January 19, the NE Georgia Mustang Club held it’s Annual After Christmas Party and January Meeting.  There was a great turnout considering the weather, with everyone enjoying the meeting, luncheon and the ever popular White Elephant Gift Exchange.  The Club’s new officers for 2019 & 2020 assumed their posts.  The new officers are:

  • President – Steve Harrison
  • Vice President – Keith Corkern
  • Secretary – Dan Capps
  • Treasurer – Emily Priebe

9/16 – September NEGMC Meeting & Dixie Cruisers Car Show – Winder, GA

Our next NEGMC meeting will be Saturday, September 16th combined with The Jug Tavern Festival Car Show hosted by Dixie Cruisers Car Club. You can find us at the Jug Tavern Festival Grounds on East Athens Street in Winder, GA or cruise-in with our group, show your car, and spend the day!

The NEGMC will hold a short cruise to the site from the Ingles along Bus. 29 in Auburn. The address is 1502 Atlanta Hwy, Auburn, GA 30011. Meet us there in time to leave by 9:30. We will meet in the end of the parking lot near the car wash. Look for the unused store front with the empty parking lot. If you remember it from the August meeting, we’ll meet in the same place.  

 Around 1:00 PM we will have a short business meeting and an orientation session for any members who are attending Maggie Valley for the first time. If you’ve never been to Maggie Valley, put this meeting on your “must” list. If you’re a Maggie Valley “veteran”, please come to share your knowledge and experience with the rest of us! If you come just in time for the meeting, look for the club flags flying from our antennas or call Karen (770-265-0654) or myself (678-614-4438) and we’ll “talk you in.”

8/26 – NEGMC August Meeting at Ft Yargo State Park – Winder, GA

Just a reminder that our meeting is this Saturday, August 26th at 1:00 PM. We have reserved Shelter 5 at Fort Yargo State Park. Unless you have an annual pass, there is a $5.00 parking fee. The club will provide the entrée, please bring beverages of your choice and a side dish. 
 

We only have a few RSVP’s, if you are coming to the meeting, and haven’t already responded, please RSVP by emailing Lou Manglass at  LManglass@aol.com . Let us know whether you are attending and how many in your party so we have some idea of how much food to order.

We will have a very short business meeting. The primary purpose of this meeting will be to prepare and fill the goody bags for Maggie Valley. We are still looking for a few last minute items so If you have anything to contribute, please get together with me before the meeting.  


If you are interested in apparel, there will be club T-shirts available. Club T-shirts will be our “uniform” shirt for Maggie Valley as usual. Long sleeve T-shirts and sweat shirts can be ordered at that time also. Please bring cash or check.
